A film adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same title by Yamada Muneki; directed by Nakashima Tetsuya of Kamikaze Girls (Shimotsuma Monogatari). Racing through her roller coaster way of life, the story dramatically portrays a woman who believes in happiness with the person she loves. Motsuko's wretched life is told in a style of a musical with songs. A fantastic world has been created, making full use of pop costume and over 400 cuts of computer grafics and animations.
